Harry Hutchinson Shaw

(1897-1989)
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Harry Shaw became a painter, illustrator, art educator, drawing specialist and block printer. During his career, he lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Louisiana and Florida.
In Florida, he was a teacher at Miami University, and the Art Museum School of Clearwater. From 1942 to 1959, he was Associate Professor of Art at the University of Southwestern Louisiana.
He preferred to paint with oil, watercolor and acrylics and illustrated a book of block prints, titled "Quest".
