Avery Gallery specializes in conservation framing, using only approved museum grade materials and techniques to be able to guarantee that works properly framed are going to last for several lifetimes.
The Gallery performs conservation and restoration work on oils and acrylics on canvas, watercolors, pastels, egg-tempera, etchings, mezzotints, books, engravings, woodcuts, wood block prints, linocuts, serigraphs, lithographs on paper, black and white and color photos, antique convex photographs, art and documents on sheepskin and other forms of vellum. Also repaired and restored are frames with broken or missing sculptural ornamentation. Karat Gold, gold metal (brass), silver, aluminum and copper-leaf finishes are cleaned and or replaced. Sculptures in wood, stone, metal, glass, ceramic, plastic, concrete and other materials are repaired and restored. Antique convex photographs are brought up to better than new condition and convex glass is shaped in order to fit antique frames of almost any size or shape. Curved, bent and or complex convex glass for frames or furniture is shaped to fit your needs.
The gallery features color etchings by Luigi Kasimir, his wife Tanna Kasimir Hoernes, and their son Robert Kasimir. Mr. Avery has now opened a museum adjacent to the gallery displaying his private collection of the etchings by each of the above artists.
Mr. Avery's background in engineering and education has made his work recognized by many as the best in the country.
